Alexey Beletsky, professional ice figure skater, a champion, ice dance and a Free Style coach. He lives in Delaware now. A rare luck for all skating sport armatures and, even more so, for those, who target professional level and live in or close to Delaware!
Alexey Beletsky is originally from the Ukraine, Odessa. He has been representing Israel in skating sports competitions since 2000. Prior to 2000, Natalya Gudina and Alexey Beletsky represented the Ukraine in pair dance. Here is the impressive sport record: 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake city World Championships - 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2002 Bofrost Cup, Germany; Trophee Lalique, Paris 2003- Skate America, Cup of China 2004- NHK Japan; Cup of Russia
Alex is the Silver medalist of Israel National Championships from 2001 to 2005 and a winner and medalist of numerous International competitions, currently a PSA (Professional Skaters Association) member.
Alex Beletsky and Natalya Gudina started their skating careers at the age of 5 in Odessa, the Ukraine. Natalya, at the age of 18, and her dance partner at the time, Vitaly Kurkudim, took the 3d Place at the Junior World Championship. Alex Beletsky started as a single dancer with the team of the US National, World, and Olympic coach, Galina Zmievskaya under the management of Junior World Coach, Anna Lozovik-Martynenko. Alex excelled to the level of the Master of Sports and started to compete professionally in pair dance. The couple reached the level of Masters of Sports in International Class.
Alex was very lucky to train with world-class coachers. He emerged as an accomplished ice skating professional and choreographer with well polished artistic and technical style. Currently Alex Beletsky is devoted to his coaching career working with single and pairs dancers of different age group and career targets.
Delaware is quite well represented by international ice-skating stars! Ronald Ludington, USA, World and Olympic champions coach, trained Alexey Beletsky and his dance partner, Natalya Gudina, at the University of Delaware Ice Ring. Olympic champions, Natalya Linichuk and Gennady Karponosov; Olympic and World champions, O.Grishuk and E.Platov; World Champions, A.Krilova, O.Ovsyannikov, I.Lobacheva, and I.Averbukh are among the renown world-famous coachers in Delaware. Albena Denkova and Maxim Stavisky, are current two times World Champions, also coach here.
