First State Ballet Theatre presents its fourth Arabesque international festival of classical and contemporary ballet.
The cast of 16 guest artists from five countries and five ballet companies includes Lisa Ponomarenko, principal dancer of Boston Ballet; perennial Arabesque audience favorite Albert Davydov of New Jersey Ballet; Katherine Crockett and David Martinez of the Martha Graham Dance Company and many other talented artists. The program will feature highlights from Carmen, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty and other classical ballets plus exciting contemporary works, including a new piece choreographed for FSBT by internationally-recognized Viktor Plotnikov, winner of best choreographer honors at the Helsinki international Ballet Competition, the Orland World Ballet Competition and the world finals of the Youth America Grand Prix.
